"Mozart Monument at Burggarten" Hofburg Palace Complex Tip by grkboiler
Hofburg Palace Complex, Vienna: 217 reviews and 468 photos
This memorial to Mozart is located at Burggarten. It was created in 1896 and can be seen from the street.
Mozart was one of the finest composers to ever live. He was born in Salzburg in 1756 and was composing at the age of 5. He toured Europe and played for the royal families of France and England, and visited Italy, Vienna, Germany, and Prague. He made Vienna his permanent home and died in 1791 a poor man. He was buried in an unmarked grave on the outskirts of Vienna (a traditional grave was later made).
