Well I can't say that I stayed here as in slept but I definitely stayed for morning tea, meditation and looked for platypus swimming in the shallows of the river below. Entering through the reception area was akin to stepping back in time ........ the decor totally in keeping with its Cobb and Co History.

Old timber bar and an old world feel. After browsing around looking at all of the old bits and pieces we ordered coffee and cake and sat on the terrace to enjoy the view. Walking outside was an eye-opener from another perspective too. This place also boasts a conference centre and at least one was in full swing when we arrived....... The conference centre is well verandahed and in keeping with the old world theme although these buildings are new.

Unique Qualities: Their advertising leaphlet states that it is an NRMA four star motel/hotel that also boasts a helipad...if you happen to own a helicopter .... ha, ha.

Their web site may be found at
www.coachingstation.com and I am sure they would welcome all enquiries.

Address: Fractionally North West of Coffs Harbour .......about an hour by coach or car.
Comparison: about average
Directions: We drove from Coffs Harbour starting on the Pacific Highway, cut across country from around Moonee Beach to head for Glenreagh and backtracked along the main Armidale/Grafton road through Coutts Crossing and onto the Coaching Station Inn.
