  Interior of a log home
by Darby2

Unique Qualities: Many lodges, cabins and homes in the Interior of B.C. are constructed of logs, found in abundance in the forested areas of the province. Species used include spruce, cedar and pine. The logs are first peeled of all bark , then shaped to dovetail into one another. They are a beautiful work of art as well as being practical and are nearly indestructable. I've seen many log homes which have logs a big as 18" in diameter. Some roofs are covered with cedar shakes while others use aluminum sheeting.
