by Skeptic-jr

Krakow's zoo is located a few kilometers from the city's downtown. It is surrounded by nice forest Las Wolski with many of paths for pedestrians and bicycles. Close to the Zoo there are Pilsudski Mound and the Bielany monastery.

The zoo is not too big, but have some successes in reproduction many species (milu, maned wolf etc.). Kids love to be there also because of "mini-zoo", the place where they can caress piggies, small goats or ponies.

The zoo was opened in 1929.

Open 9 am - 6 pm (autumn and winter to 4 pm). Tickets (2004):
- 10 zloties for adults
- reduced 5 zloties for kids, students, pensioners
- 5 for photo or video recording
Kids under 3 - free.

Best way to get there is going to the end stop of bus 100 - it goes from Cracovia Hotel at Slowacki Avenue.
