"Circus Maximus" Piccadilly Tip by CanuckMark

Piccadilly, London: 192 reviews and 298 photos

Picadilly Circus is famous, if for no other reason than the large neon signs which light up the intersection at night.

Picadilly is smack in the middle of all the main attractions in the downtown area. The large Trafalgar Square is nearby as are all the theaters in Leicester Square. The seedy and yet totally excellent Soho is towards the north, with the ultra posh Regent-Oxford area going northwest.

Basically, you will see Picadilly at some point during your stay in London, like it or not. Go there at night to see the neon lights. While staring at the neon billboards, you can think about all the energy they are consuming and how useless that is. PS: Keep your hand on your wallet as you gaze up at the energy-wasting lights.
