"Westminster Tour" Westminster Abbey Tip by CanuckMark

Westminster Abbey, London: 268 reviews and 472 photos

A tour of Westminster Abbey is an absolute must when visiting London. The entrace fee is outrageous, but worth the sacrifice of a couple of good meals and maybe one less night out on the town.

However, do NOT visit the Abbey without taking either the guided tour or audio tour!!! The Abbey is larger then you think, and it is jam-packed with history. In every corner and even on every inch of the floor lies something that has historical meaning. The tours are instrumental in telling you what to look for, and helping to explain what you are looking at. I've been to the Abbey 3 times, once without any audio or guided tour. I can tell you that the 3 pounds I paid for the audio tour was worth it ten times over.
