MacMillan Park- Cathedral Grove, a day park located at the top end of Cameron Lake is noted for a preserved section of lush old-growth forest that is unique on Vancouver Island. An interpretive trail system winds through these 800-year old giants, allowing for close inspection of the tree rings on some downed logs that were victims of blowdowns. This park gives you a sense of what Vancouver Island and the West Coast looked like before the arrival of European settlers.
