"Old State Capitol" Benicia Things to Do Tip by WulfstanTraveller
Benicia Things to Do: 23 reviews and 64 photos
Benicia was California's third seat of government, from 1853-1854. It followed San Jose, the first, and nearby Vallejo, the second.
Benicia possesses the only surviving California state capitol the predates the move to Sacramento. This building is now an historic park and is a smallish brick neo-classical building in the form of a Roman temple with Doric columns.
Directions: Downtown Benicia.
