  Dvorak mansion
by hundwalder

This beautiful neo Renaissance mansion was the home of Antonin Dvorak as suggested by the sculptured engraving. No wonder he was finally overcome by homesickness during his tenure as director of the New York music conservatory. I believe that the Dvorak museum is housed in the mansion, although I am not certain.

The mansion is located on the edge of old town, just east of the Jewish quarter. The beautiful Spanish synagogue is across the street.
