The Thatched Cottage: "Delicious and Pleasant" Dunchurch Restaurant Tip by redflame100

An enjoyable experience.

There is a small bar area where you sit and order and wait until your food is ready. The waitress then calls you through to your table where your food is served.

The food was absolutely delicious and we all enjoyed thoroughly. You have to order your veg/salad separately at extra cost. a lot of the menu consisted of steaks in various forms and I did not see a huge range for vegetarians on the menu.

The staff were all very pleasant and efficient.

The atmosphere was calm, organised and serene.

The price - rather expensive to what we are used to 110 for 4 people (incl desserts and bottle of wine) but was well worth it.

Favorite Dish: I had a dish which i cannot pronounce which consisted of steak topped with pate, wrapped in bacon, sitting on a crouton. This was served with veg and potatoes. It was cooked to perfection and a combination I had not seen before. Delicious.
