Borough Market which is situated on the south side of London Bridge Mainline station, near to Southwark Cathedral and London Bridge, is essentially a food and vegetable wholesale market, and a hive of activity in the early hours of the morning. On Fridays and Saturdays it is open to the public where there are lots of stalls with produce ranging from cheeses, breads, vegetables, fruit, and much more.

Opening hours are:=

Friday 12 - 6 pm.

Saturday 9 am - 4pm

May I suggest you go to the website and read the fascinating history of the market, which dates back hundreds of years. It really is worth a read. There are of course other pieces of information contained therein, i.e. a map showing you it's exact location, various modes of transport to get there, and much much more. Enjoy the read.
