Enroute to Carolei, the driver will experience sharply winding roads, narrower than we are used to, at least in North America. In order for the big buses to navigate the turns on these steep mountain sides, the driver will occupy most of the oncoming lane.

Their system for warning other vehicles, is to blow his horn, but be aware, the bus driver never slows down, and I have seen numerous drivers in small cars hastily attempt to back up.

I have nothing but respect for these bus drivers, who drive these roads day after day. In fair weather, roads are bad enough, but, remember these are mountain roads, and snow does occur due to the altitude. With snow, comes ice, with ice, comes treacherous driving conditions. Just be prepared.
