The Royal British Columbia Museum is an outstanding museum, and is a key example of how Victoria possesses excellent cultural institutions for a city of this size. It covers the history of the province, complete with a partial replica of Captain Vancouver's ship and an excellent Potlach collection. It also has several totems, including some on display in the adjacent Thunderbird Park.
