This theater is in the tradition of the old theater dating back to the times of the Margraves. The former buildings next to Karlsruhes Palace had been completely destroyed twice during a fire in 1847 and an air raid in 1944.

From 1964 to 1975 a new and modern building was constructed at another location and is now home of Karlsruhes most important theater.

Dress Code: No jeans or sneakers please.
