"Basilica of the Virgin Mary" Basilica of St Mary - Kosciol Mariacki Tip by Leipzig

  Basilica of the Virgin Mary
by Leipzig

The basilica of the Virgin Mary with its twin spires dominates the central square. The originally Romanesque facade was replaced by Gothic style in 13th century. In the 14th century the church was undergoing another remodelling and got the present form. From the taller, 81 meters high tower, you can hear a bugle sounding every full hour. From the smaller one you hear a bell ringing.
