Well, this is probably the most famous institution in Munich. Everyone worldwide who knows something about Munich has heard about the Hofbräuhaus, I guess....so it is a tip you´ll also find at "must do activities", because it is worth just to have a look here and see the people from all over the world drinking their "Mass Bier" (1 litre glass of beer).
