"Little Desert National Park (Grampians)" State of Victoria Things to Do Tip by leffe3

State of Victoria Things to Do: 159 reviews and 358 photos

Amazingly, in spite of its name, this is not a sand swept barren 'outback' national aprk celebrating that life can exist in the most severe of locations. Cut through by two or three rivers, the park was more swamp land when we visited than sandbars! It was pretty delightful, although it did mean that some of the tracks were closed off. Its a few miles north of Horsham and just off the Midland HIghway at Dimboola is the fairly easily accessed Horseshoe Bend, a cute picnic and camping spot that is well worth the stop off if you are driving through to Adelaide.

Address: Midland Highway
