Now that I was done with all the King and Queen's chambers and sprained my neck throughly ( those %^&% ceiling paintings) , I used my passport to enter the palatial gardens....

Now, the gardens of Versailles are a perfect example of French Garden architecture never mind if the chief gardener ( Le Notre ) drew his inspiration from the Italian baroque gardens. The perfectly landscaped gardens are planned to the last detail and every tree, every bush, every blade of grass, every fountain and statue was perfectly laid out!
Yup, nothing like the "organised mess" I saw at Monet's Garden in Giverny. Ah yes, over there , a mess of colourful plants served to inspire an artist, over here, nature was controlled to enhance the greatness of the king ....
