Daimachi Bekkan Ryokan: "A Great way to experience Japan!" Japan Hotel Tip by Angel_Rose13

Japan Hotels: 234 reviews and 248 photos

A ryokan in general is a great way to experience Japan in that it is a traditional Japanese guesthouse, which usually includes breakfast, and includes the whole experience such as no shoes inside / instead using Japanese slippers, tatami floors in your rooms, a large communial spa bath and Japanese style showers, and comfortable futons on the floor.

You can also experience wearing a simple Japanese robe and experience a Japanese breakfast, sitting on the floor with rice, green tea and some other Japanese delacacies. You also get some nice views of outside as people pass you by.

The only downfall is the hard pillows which can give you a headache so if you dont like this go without or bring your own, and at the time the owners didnt speak much English.

Unique Qualities: The ryokan here has a great view as you walk down the hall in your Japanese slippers to breakfast. Just across from this room is a large window where you can view the lovely Japanese garden.
