The Echo: "Cool Echo Park Venue" Los Angeles Nightlife Tip by rattay

Los Angeles Nightlife: 227 reviews and 170 photos

The Echo is a small bar/music venue in Echo Park, right near the lake. I've been here a few times and at first I was skeptical. It seemed a little too scenester/trendy for me. But I went there last night for the umpteenth time and I've decided that I actually really like it. It's intimate (a.k.a. small) and they frequently have amazing small bands play there. They have Stella Artois on tap and serve french fries/onion rings etc during the shows. The crowd may be a little to hip sometimes, but usually people are genuinely there to see the band or just listen to a dj play good music. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience here.

Dress Code: none, but if you want to "fit in" dress like a hipster.

Address: Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park
Directions: It's a little bit difficult to find, but it's on Sunset just south of Alvarado, near the lake (between Alvarado & Lemoyne).
Theme: Live Music
