  Sugar for Sale!
by SFHulaGIrl

A kaleidoscope of colors, the Jean Talon market is a large open-air farmers market frequented mostly by locals. It is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; on certain evenings, it doesn't close until 6:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m.

What to buy: I was more than happy with a bunch of pears, some cheese (Brillat de Savarain, Pave d'Affinois), and some Sicilian olives. Buy some purple cauliflower, leeks as big around as your arm, or some maple sugar candy!

Directions: Little Italy; Metro: Jean Talon
Theme: Food and Drink
