anything: "renta condo / private rentals" Waikiki Hotel Tip by Craig.White

Waikiki Hotels: 49 reviews and 71 photos

Best bet for Waikiki is to get yourself an apartment/condo. The hotels offer all of the services, but the mark-up is huge. there are some great little apartments that are in the cheaper catagory simply because they aren't getting serviced every day.

One warning. Leave yourself a way out. I have had to ditch on a place because it was truely mingin'. Ask them to send you a pic of the place when you do reservations and also about if you have to leave early.

Unless there is something going on, there are ususally a few places near the beach with rooms free. Might be best to book a place for the first night & then roam a bit on the next morning, looking for a new place if you are unhappy with what you've got.

Unique Qualities: Rental cars are a must if you want to get out there and have a time. You can usually get one at a nearby chain hotel and drop off there or at the airport.

Price Comparison: less expensive than average
