The name Yuelushan means "the hill at the foot of the sacred peak", and the park contains the Aiwan Ting (Admiring The Dusk) Pavilion with Chairman Mao's calligraphy on the sign, the 14th Century Ming Dynasty Yunlu Palace and the 1,700 year-old Lushan Temple, established during the Jin Dynasty.
