"All you can eat? No way!" Top 5 Page for this destination Vancouver Favorite Tip by Carmanah

Favorite thing: Here's a general tip, as a local to any visitor.

Usually anywhere in the world, sushi is expensive. For these reasons many people seek out "all you can eat" sushi restaurants to get the best bang for their buck. Also because of this, many people automatically associate sushi with "all you can eat" and will therefor only scout out "all you can eat" sushi restaurants whenever they have a craving for the seafood and rice concoctions.

However, in Vancouver, there is such a huge selection of sushi restaurants and overall, the prices are extremely affordable (more affordable than anywhere else in the world) that you do not have to go to "all you can eat" restaurants to make a sushi restaurant visit worth while. In fact, the worse quality sushi restaurants in Vancouver tend to be "all you can eat". For the same amount of money, or as I've experienced, even less money than "all you can eat", you can pick and choose a wider arrange of better tasting, better quality sushi in Vancouvrer from hundreds of Japanese restaurants, without having to stoop to lesser quality. Not only that, but because sushi is so filling, you don't even have to pay that much to get a meal's worth.

That's my suggestion, if you're really into good food while in Vancouver. Don't go to all you can eat. It's like going to New York to taste Pizza Hut instead of the famous local pizzarias. It's like going to Italy and opening up a can of Chef Boyardee, etc, etc.
