A nice afternoon activity for the whole family is to rent a paddle boat on the Main. You can rent one from Dreyer or from Klaus for 7 Euro for ½ an hour or 12 Euro for 1 hour.

It should be noted that it is restricted where you paddle your boat - namely between the small Main island and the left bank (Sachsenhausen) You cannot take the boat to the other side (Frankfurt) of the River. The reason for this is because the river is a commercial waterway and you might get run over by a passenger ship or a barge. The barges can't even see you, let alone go around you.

The current is hardly noticeable in the summer, so you won't have to worry about being swept downstream.
