"A view from above." Victoria Peak Tip by Bela_LUng

Victoria Peak, Hong Kong: 297 reviews and 444 photos

There is no other way to take in the vasteness of Hong Kong then to view the city from the "Peak" on Victoria Island.

A tram takes you from the bottom of Hong Kong, for about 30 HKD, to the Peak (includes the return trip). The short tram ride snakes through the trees and concret upwards. If you'd rather save some bucks and get fit, you can walk to the Peak - I only reccomend this if you are in good condition. and have blisterless feet.

Once at the Peak you quickly realize this is Hong Kong style sight seeing. There's a shopping plaza at the top with several restaurants (yes, including a McDonalds - which has excellent views of the other side of the island from its patio). There's even a grocery store up there for the local residents!

You can walk around here for quite some time and take in the views, or just go shopping. The view of the city, either by day or night is spectacular (on a clear day).

There's no better way to see Hong Kong.

Address: Hongkong Island
Directions: Get off the MTR at Admiralty, and start walking towards the Peak. There's signs indicating where to go.
