An ancient temple with an open circular top. Thee marble floor has 22 small drainage holes in it.
The Bronze alter in St Peters is a huge bronze one and when the sculptor ran out of Bronze the Pop said to "steal it" from the Pantheon so you will see where Bronze was replaced by wood in parts. Not unusual as the fountain in St Peters was in part made from materials " borrowed " from other Buildings.
