Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw: 4 reviews and 4 photos
Ujazdow Castle was built in the beginning of the 17th century in early Baroque style. It was one of few monuments in Warsaw to emerge undamged from World War II, but its luck soon ran out. After the war the castle was destroyed by the communist authorities to give place to the Army Theater, which was to be built in that place. The theater never did get built, so the castle was rebuilt in the 1980s. Today it houses the Center of Modern Art
Directions: In the botanical gardens immediately north of Lazienki Park.
