The Tower of london is by far one of the most famous and well preserved building in the world.
It was begun by William the conqueror in 1066 and has been consistantly improved and extended since then.
It s position was great to see enemies approach on the Thames.
For over 900 years, it has been a palace, prison, place of executions, and jewels house.
It is quit expensive to visit: £13.5 and queues can get quit long, best to be an early bird.
open every day from 10am to 5pm(with some variance some months) and closed 1 jan, 24-26 dec. (last entry 1h before closing)

Address: Tower Bridge Road, EC3/SE1
Directions: Tower Hill or London Bridge tubes
