I find the people that think this is a hotel amusing. This is the City Hall of Paris. Most of the building inside is closed to the public but the parts that are open feature a large number of art works and displays on Parisian history.

The building was rebuilt on the site of the City Hall that was burned down in 1871. The building is worth going to see for its architecture and the nice fountains out front. In the winter the even have a skating rink out front.
