Take a taxi round London, the best and most well known are the Black Cabs. Their drivers ae licensed and must take a very tough test called The Knowledge before they can drive a Black Cab. To pass this test they must know every road and route around London.
There are other taxis or mini-cabs available but they are a lot harder to police and many of them are unlicensed and will rip you off or even worse.
I have only ever been in one Black Cab, it was an experience but nothing too special.
