  Birds and the City Hall
by aramat

Favorite thing: I loved watching the birds on Tjorn. We saw mostly ducks, but many species of migrating birds also take a rest at the lake.

In the background you see the modern City Hall of Reykjavik. It's an architecturally interesting building and one useful for visitors: inside, you find a tourist information desk, a cafe, public restrooms and a huge 3D map of Iceland.

Fondest memory: One day, we were watching a lost duckling on the lake.... she (or he) was tiny, alone, swimming around and squeaking excitedly..... I hope she did find her family :-).
