"Out in the Countryside" Khett Rotanah Kiri Off The Beaten Path Tip by aukjejetty

Ratanakiri province is filled with places that would be considered off the beaten path. You can just hop on a motorbike or bicycle (which can be a little rough) and explore the smaller villages.

There are amazing things to be seen and experience; houses built in the old style, festivals you might stumble upon, kids wanting to play with you, older people just wanting to look at you and basic ofcourse everyday life.

A little further than Ta Veng we went to a village where we spent some time with the families. We showed them how to make inkpens out of bamboo. We brought some ink along and kids and their parents started drawing some great pictures.
