Osso Buco: "Generous Family Style Italian Cuisine" Osso Buco - CLOSED Tip by AliasGirl

Osso Buco - CLOSED, New York City: 1 reviews and 0 photos

There is good news and bad news about this place. What do you want first..okay good news first.

Here is the good news:
a) This place serves Italian family style portions. They are very generous, in fact, so don't overdo it by ordering too much.

b) Its never overly crowded, so you can usually be seated right away. And if you visit before 6pm without a reservation, again you will likely be seated right away.

c) Its a nice place to gather with a large group of family or friends, people with whom you are very casual with. You can also hear the conversation.

d) The prices are reasonable.

Here is the bad news:
a) The food tastes good, but nothing to rave about. (its not Carmine's) I wasn't overly impressed any of the times I went.

Favorite Dish: Start off with family style dishes like;

Caesar Salad, Fried Calamari, and Stuffed Mushrooms as starters.

Veal Piccata, Fettuccine Toscana or Capellini Primavera and Petto Di Pollo Alla Parmigiana (chicken parmigiana)
