China has the most delicious food in the world. There are four major styles including Yue, Su, Chuan and Lu dishes.

Yue Dish
It represents the dish style in the Guangdong area which its major speciality is light-tasted and various combination between meat and vegetable; and seafood. Everything is eatable in Guangdong as you find birds flying in the sky; fish swimming in the river; insects and wild animals living in the forest. This has been considered as the root cause of SARs but such a custom also inherited from its past tradition as the soil in Guangdong area is generally infertile and people used to rely on wild food for living from their surroundings.
Still, Yue food is one of my favorite(but i don't take any wild animals:).

Chuan Dish
It represents the dishes from Sichuang Province which its speciality is spicy and hot. If you ever try that dish before, you can find everything hot and spicy. Actually there are three major provinces in China serving spicy food which are Sichuan, Hunan and Guizhou. The distinct style of Chuan food is more numb while Hunan food is really spicy and Guizhou food is flavored spicy.
If you are a spicy person, never miss the Chuan dishes.

Su Dish
It represents the dishes from Jiangsu province which its speciality is a soft taste and precise cooking - just like the people living in the area.
My hometown serves such dishes.

Lu Dish
It represents the dishes from Shangdong province which it was the food serving for the royal family in the past two dynasties. The taste is more heavy and highlight is the juice.

Now with the basic knowledge of Chinese food, which style is your preferred ones?
