I never sat on a horse before and I wouldn't have if this tour wasn't complementary with our trip. I must say it has changed my attitude against horse. The Icelandic horse is a very kind and sweet horse. The are easy to ride, the horse have 5 gaits of which tölt is the smoothest.
We went for a one and a half hour ride. After getting used to sitting on a horse and encouraging it to go faster I experience the comfort of tölt. It is almost like sitting in a chair.

Equipment: All you have to bring is a good mood. Some people say that horses smell and your pants will smell after a ride. Mine didn't so you don't have to wear you dirtiest pair of pants.
The company provides you with a helmet of which the size can be adjusted and a whip to encourage you horse.
