The last evening in Turmi we were invited by a local family in their compound. We agreed to give them money, so they could buy and prepare a goat for us and the compound, so we could have dinner together.

While we were waiting for the goat to be roasted, the lady of the compound and her daughters prepared local coffee for us. It was lovely to sit together at the skins and drink coffee, served in huge calebasses.

Comparison: least expensive
Directions: The compound of the family we visited was just behind the Tourist Restaurant at the eastside of the village, so in the dark it was rather easy to find our way back to the campsite, 500 M further along the road.
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 5
Theme: Local

Review Helpfulness: 4.5 out of 5 stars
