For those Asian who live in Aberdeen for one reason or another, finding the raw material for home cook food can be a difficult task.

There are a couple of places you can go. The more accessible place is Asian Spices located on George St. Which is just about 2 blocks away from John Lewis. You can get most of the spices like curry, jasmine rice, soya sauce, chinese spices, etc.

The other place which I usually go is Campbell, located in the Turry area. Hidden among the warehouses. Coming from Market St, after crossing the bridge towards Turry, take the second left turn. You can get all Chinese food stuffs, from dried food to fresh crabs, fish balls, etc etc. Sometimes even fresh chinese choy sum.

However, if you are of those real picky ones, I think you are better off to make a trip down to Dundee. There is a huge Chinese Supermart there, right in the town center.

What to buy: Asian food raw materials, spices, etc...

What to pay: Of course things are not cheap here.. but you don't really have much choice unless you ship it your own from home.
