OK, I admit this place sounds a bit dull, but it really is worth a visit. Such an interesting place. Derek first visited here on a residential whilst at uni, & we returned together in 2002.

Here you learn how to built alternative houses, cob, straw bale for example. Also as the title suggests numerous displays & courses concerning alternative energy. Lots of info on how to be much greener & help keep the world a healthier & more eco friendly place to live. I have only really touched on the work they do here, check out their website to see just how much they do.

You will find the Centre for Alternative Energy (CAT) near Machynlleth in northish east Wales
