Cafe Kebab: "Kebabs" Aziz Mangal Tip by Dabs
Aziz Mangal, London: 1 reviews and 1 photos
January 2008 update, walked by where I thought it was and I think it's gone, try up near Paddington Station for good kebabs
London is filled with take away food options, we stop for kebabs at least once on every trip. But it seemed like we were having trouble finding one this day, we first tried near the High St. Kensington tube (nope, the security guard at one of the stores actually laughed at us), so we headed over to Earl's Court where my husband said there would surely be some kebabs (nope, all replaced by Starbucks and fast food chains) so I said I know there's one over near Covent Garden which we ate at in June so we headed back over there.
I think it used to be called Cafe 2000 but now it is Cafe Kebab.
Favorite Dish: I remembered this place because the chicken kebabs were very good. Kebabs are a bit like gyros and can be made with lamb meat but the ones we tried were chicken in pita bread with toppings of lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers and garlic sauce and/or chili sauce. The small kebab is plenty big, the large kebab is huge.
