Carrabba's Italian Grill: "Excellent Italian Food" San Antonio Restaurant Tip by lisa_lise

San Antonio Restaurants: 229 reviews and 254 photos

This is my favorite Italian place. The lighting is somewhat dark, which makes it nice for an intimate date or cozy dinner with good friends. Dress is medium-range, somewhere between casual and dressy. If I wear jeans there, I'll usually wear them with some sort of strappy heel or something.

Favorite Dish: They've taken my favorite dish off the menu, but they'll still make it on request. I think it's called Pasta Promodoro or something like that, but it's a bowl of penne pasta and pieces of spicy Italian sausage, and red pepper slices, topped with a mound of fabulous feta cheese. Most restaurants make this dish without the feta cheese, but the feta is what completes the dish. Yum! While you look over the menu, they bring you herb and olive oil dipping sauce and soft, fresh bread to munch on. This delicious bread is the reason I've been too full to try the desserts far.
