Dan and Louis Oyster Bar: "Oysters are their specialty" Portland Restaurant Tip by histrionia62

Portland Restaurants: 348 reviews and 479 photos

This historic downtown Portland restaurant has a homey feel. The walls are knotty pine with scads of memorabilia. The menu is fairly diverse, with both fried and broiled dishes. Their specialty is oysters, but we did not eat them so cannot speak to how well their reputation is deserved.

Favorite Dish: Razor clams, salmon chowder, broiled halibut, and broiled shrimp were all delicious. The mixed seafood broil is in a herbed butter that had a refreshing sweetness.
