Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived and performed for much of his life in Austria. There are several concerts around Vienna in different music halls. One company performs in period costumes in some of the more impressive halls. We saw the concert in the Musikveiren which was opened by Emporer Franz Joseph in the early 20th century.

The concerts consists of highlights of Mozarts piano music and from his operas (the Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and the Magic Flute). The concerts finishes with Strauss's "On the Blue Danube."

Even if you don't like classical music much, you probably would enjoy this as it is all well known and used in movies, commericials, cartoons, etc.

Costs started at 19 and went to 72.Tickets are sold at hotels or by men in period costumes at Stephensdom (St. Stephen's Cathedral)

Dress Code: Surprisingly, there was no dress coat, but it is nice to dress smarter for this performance.

Directions: There are multiple locations. The Musikveiren is near Karlsplatz.
Theme: Concert
