Havana Local Customs: 72 reviews and 75 photos
I noticed that many households and restaurants have at least one cage of birds. They are mostly budgies and lovebirds. Occationally, you'll see larger birds, such as the peacocks in the courtyard of the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales and the parrots and chicken in Hotel Nacional.
I saw a couple of bird "stores" on the sidewalk, in Plaza Vieja and on Obispo. They are basically a stacked up cages of birds.
