"Horse Guards" London Off The Beaten Path Tip by Dabs
London Off The Beaten Path: 1,701 reviews and 3,049 photos
I've seen frequent tips on other travel boards that say to skip seeing the overpopulated, hard to see, changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and instead see the Changing of the Horse Guards which takes place at 11 am every day (10 am on Sunday).
I happened to be near the Horse Guards when I was heading over to the Banqueting House at 4 pm when they do the inspection and then have the guards dismount. The inspection isn't something I would make a point to go out of my way for but if you happen to be in the area, it's worth a look.
The Horse Guards is across the street from the Banqueting House on Whitehall.
