Scooters are OK for getting around most of Cefalonia. But since Cefalonia is large compared to most Greek Islands, a car may be more suitable in order to go up the steep mountains or take the long, dangerous coastal roads to Fiskardo or Lixouri.

On the plus side, Scooters are cheap and easy to rent. You can park them anywhere, and I'd much prefer taking a scooter rather than a car across the very narrow Argostoli Bridge!
