"Karni Mata Temple" Deshnoke Things to Do Tip by BarbaraForza

Deshnoke Things to Do: 2 reviews and 1 photos

At Deshnok, the Karni Mata Temple is not only famous for the magnificient marble carvings donated by Maharaja Ganga Singh or the golden tops of it...here the main interest is RATS! They are here regarded as cows in the rest of India, holy and fed by priests, taking care of them as it is believed that they will be reincarneted as holy men.
While you go around this temple (as in other temples without your shoes, but you can use sockets!) you'll see many many many rats walking on your feet.
