The Rio Grande: "Don't miss the Margaritas!" Denver Restaurant Tip by JJBlondie

Denver Restaurants: 220 reviews and 166 photos

The Rio is a tex-mex delight. Food is always consistent. But its the margaritas that are the best. Lime, cold, strong. Limit 3 Please, that's the house rule. And 3 is all you'll need. The Rio, while a local chain, is one of the best houses for margaritas in the Rocky Mountains. On a hot summer night, sitting on the patio sucking down a rocks, frozen, or strawberry marg with friends is as good as it gets.

Favorite Dish: Casa del Mar, a cheesey concoction with mushrooms, peppers, crab and shrimp, served with hot tortillas, great as a snack or dinner. Great burritos as well, served with black beans and rice, and the Rio's homemade salsa, always with a little kick.
