IL Cortile: "Don't Worry about the 'Sopranos' Feel - Mangia!" IL Cortile Tip by AliasGirl

This restaurant is a staple in 'Little Italy'. If I had time to visit only one ristorante in this area, it would be this one! IL Cortile has fantastic Italian food, you can ask to have appetizers brought out in family style plates. At this place, everyone should get an appetizer but you should share! All dishes are yummy!

Its always busy, (summer, winter anytime!) hence the wait and lines, but you'll need to make reservations if you have any hope of getting in!

You will find a diverse crowd- a family gathering, goombas, an after work social, friends, couples and girls-night out.

This place is fast paced so you may have to flag down the waiter. Its very good service though. The dishes are yummy. Great wine selection. I've been going there for years!

The most unique quality is the indoor decor- the paintings, the color and the inside-courtyard feel.

It is truly a memorable experience in 'Little Italy'. Don't miss out on this charming NYC Italian ristorante!
