The Quebrada de Cafayate or Quebrada de Las Conchas is on Route 68 towards Salta. Along the gorge of Rio de las Conchas, there are fascinating rock formations of red, ochre, yellow, beige, orange, coral, sienna, brown, grey, hint of lavendar, etc… colours, carved entirely by wind and water. Some formations are named and they are all sign-posted.

Better to go in a car or join a tour from Cafayate so that you can stop to admire the amazing sights.
